I am fascinated with color and experimenting with materials new to me. That is usually the starting point. The work can be abstract or semi realistic. I let the materials take me where they want to go. It is a dialogue that is constantly fascinating. Each time I spend in the studio I learn new things. Sometimes the experiments work and sometimes they don’t.
I find printmaking, painting and book making inform each other and offer me another “step” in my artistic journey.

It is important to me that my work makes me say “wow” and that I would want to live with it. I hope the work gives the viewer new awareness. It is about exploring, playing, and having fun and joy.
